National Museum Is Now Open Daily With Free Admission



This year, we romanticize life and fully embrace our main character energy. So, why not treat yourself to something meaningful and make the most of it? A museum visit is the perfect way to indulge in a little self-love.

Luckily, starting January 1, 2025, the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) will be opening all its museums every single day. That’s right—Monday to Sunday. And the best part? Admission is absolutely FREE.


“Universal access has always been our priority. By opening our museums every day and maintaining free admission, we aim to make our programs and services even more accessible to everybody,” the post read. 


The museums were only open from Tuesdays to Sundays, with visiting hours between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.


Visitor Guidelines


Given the National Museum’s significant role in preserving our history, visitors are expected to exercise care and respect during their visitAs outlined in the NMP’s visitor guidelines, guests are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.


Walk-in visitors are welcome; however, groups of 20 or more must secure an advance booking through the NMP’s website at least five days prior to their visit. Same-day bookings will not be accommodated.

Visitors should also be mindful of prohibited items, which must be deposited at the baggage counters upon entry.


Visitors are allowed to take photos inside the museum, but the use of flash is strictly forbidden. Permits are required for activities such as commercial photography, photoshoots, and media coverage.

Moreover, touching any exhibition items, including paintings, sculptures, artifacts, specimens, and other displayed objects, is strictly prohibited.
