A Big Day for Rosie Stans! BLACKPINK’s Rosé has officially dropped her debut full album, Rosie, on December 6.
Inspired by her nickname, the album follows her international hit APT., a collaboration with American-Filipino artist Bruno Mars. With 12 tracks that Rosé calls her “little journal,” the album is an intimate dive into her world. Released simultaneously at midnight across all time zones, it was designed to connect fans globally in a shared experience. To top it off, Rosé premiered the music video for her latest single, Toxic Till the End.
Rosie In The Works…
Reflecting on the deeply personal nature of the album, she shared in an Instagram post, “I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.” Rosé began work on Rosie following BLACKPINK’s year-long Born Pink world tour, dedicating her time to crafting the album in Los Angeles. She collaborated with multiple songwriters and producers, shaping the project through countless studio sessions. Speaking about the process, Rosé revealed, “These sessions led on to a year of walking in and out of the studio, writing songs with songwriters and producers I’d met for the first time, trying to figure out the next chapter in my career.”
Ahead of the album’s worldwide release on December 6, Warner Music Philippines hosted an exclusive listening party in Manila on December 4, where Rosé shared that more listening events were planned across the globe. These events followed her signing with Warner Chappell Music, marking a new chapter in her musical journey. Rosie is Rosé’s first musical release with The Black Label, Atlantic Records, and Warner Chappell Music, after not renewing her solo contract with YG Entertainment. However, she remains under YG for all BLACKPINK-related activities. Both Rosé and Jisoo, along with YG Entertainment, confirmed that a BLACKPINK comeback and world tour are on the horizon for 2025. The members of the group have decided to prioritize their solo careers after the success of Born Pink and its extensive world tour, with plans to reunite and continue their journey as BLACKPINK once they’ve completed their individual projects.
