Singer, songwriter, actress, and model Maymay Entrata is still in awe of being featured in a Grammy original series.
Recently, Maymay shared her excitement about being interviewed by the Grammy’s for their “It Goes to 11” series, where artists discuss the importance of their instruments or accessories. For Maymay, she highlighted how an in-ear accessory significantly enhanced her vocal performance.
"Waaaaaaaaaah! my heart bai! I still couldn’t believe we made it to GRAMMY studio po 😭 THANK YOU SO MUCH @recordingacademy for having me po, this is definitely one of my most unforgettable memories. ✨🥹🫶🏻" she captioned on her Instagram post.
Reflecting on her journey, Maymay revealed that when she began singing three years ago, she struggled with pitch issues, often going flat or sharp. While researching how other artists improved, she noticed many used in-ear pieces. This discovery led her to reach out to the renowned Gary Valenciano (Gary V), who explained that in-ear monitors help performers stay on key. Inspired by his advice, Maymay adopted the in-ear accessory, which she says improved her pitch control and boosted her confidence on stage.
AMAKABOGERA!
Maymay Entrata's feature is a well-deserved honor for a rising star who only recently began her music career. Since her debut, Maymay has delivered catchy hits like “Puede Ba” and the iconic “AMAKABOGERA,” quickly proving herself as a promising talent in the music industry.
Filipino artists continue to shine globally, with SB19’s Josh Cullen and Ken (performing as Felip) also appearing on Grammy’s “Global Spin Live” series with hits like “Yoko Na” and “Bulan.” The future looks bright for Maymay and her fellow artists on the international scene!
