The inaugural Style Conquest 2024 delivered a powerful dose of fashion culture and artistry at the Green Sun Hotel last June 30th. Stunning collections from a mix of industry veterans and promising new designers, along with show-stopping appearances by popular P-pop groups and a renowned VIVA Artist, cemented Style Conquest's place as a launchpad for rising Filipino fashion talent.
P-Pop royalty like G22, VXON, AJAA, and YES MY LOVE (YML) set the runway on fire alongside renowned VIVA Artist Rabin Angeles. But the true stars of the night were the collections themselves. From established names like Paul Matt, Edrick Paz, and JM Rosario to rising stars like Camille Besacruz and Emanuel Riñoza, each designer brought a unique vision to the stage. Kein Dumlao, Nash August, and Basil Malicsi rounded out the impressive lineup, showcasing the breadth of Filipino fashion creativity.
The night wasn't just about established names. Six iAcademy Fashion Design graduates made their runway debut, each with a distinct and captivating collection. Joanna Santos stunned with contemporary, avant-garde couture, while Jannah Collado used grunge to explore personal experiences. Abby Fernandez offered a sustainable streetwear collection with a Japanese influence, and Ellyn Denubo pushed boundaries with unconventional cuts and materials. Megan Davies' designs blended modern aesthetics with timeless elegance, and Elene Mariano celebrated cultural heritage with a contemporary twist.
Style Conquest championed inclusivity with a two-act show. The afternoon session, kicking off at 5 PM, showcased a diverse range of collections from established designers, setting the stage for inspiration. The evening show, starting at 8 PM, put the spotlight on the iAcademy graduates' collections, with P-Pop groups and Rabin Angeles adding extra energy.
