Filipina actress Dolly de Leon has now officially become a valued member of the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization, yes, the Oscars!
De Leon's international breakthrough skyrocketed in the satirical black comedy "Triangle of Sadness" where she earned numerous international wins and recognitions, including her nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes and the British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTAs). She also secured a win from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
Dolly De Leon received a warm welcome alongside several other accomplished actors who have joined the esteemed Actors Branch of the Academy. The new additions to this prestigious group including Austin Butler, Martina Gedeck, Nicholas Hoult, Park Hae-il, Paul Reiser, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Selma Blair, and Zar Amir-Ebrahimi into its Actors Branch.
Currently, de Leon is actively involved in the dark comedy film "A Very Good Girl," sharing the screen with co-star Kathryn Bernardo.
