If there's one thing we can all agree on about Nadine Lustre is that she's an absolute boss babe! Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, but she's also super smart and never afraid to speak her mind. And get this, she's been using her incredible influence to make a real difference in the world.
Recently, she visited Masungi Georeserve, an area dedicated to preserving and protecting the environment where she has been an allied honorary park ranger there since 2021, and she's one of their biggest advocates.
I mean, can we talk about a "Real Influencer" for a second? Nadine is going above and beyond to use her platform to promote important issues and make a positive impact. She's a rare gem in the industry and we're so lucky to have her leading the way.
What’s the deal with Masungi Georeserve?
Throughout its 20 years of existence, the Masungi Georeserve Foundation has succeeded in conserving and rehabilitating the threatened landscape in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range located in Rizal Province. As we know, Sierra Madre has been protecting us from storms and typhoons. This natural typhoon barrier has been helping us since it ever existed, but now, it is the one that needs our help.
Masungi for the last few years, up to now, is currently being harassed and threatened by land grabbers, and is currently dealing with conflicting legal claims over its lands. Just a month ago, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) announced its intention to construct its headquarters in Masungi’s Lot 10. The plan is currently being opposed by our local environmentalists, as it will put the center of the reserve and home to priceless limestone formations that have existed there for millions of years at great risk.
Nadine’s Visit at Masungi Georeserve
On Masungi Georeserve Twitter account, a series of snaps with Nadine doing activities like weeding and mulching were posted and captioned with “Nadine wanted to see how Masungi was doing amid our challenges & came to show support. She also shared with us her journey to a vegan lifestyle, which she is embarking on for the welfare of animals & the planet. #SaveMasungi”

Nadine acknowledged the physical, mental, and spiritual threats facing the environmentalists in her vlog and assured them with the statement, “I’m pretty sure this is not the end of it.” She then added, “I can't see myself not doing something for the planet, for the environment.”
Billie, one of the co-founders of Masungi Georeserve Foundation, expressed her hopes that more people would join their campaign.
“Hopefully, more people join us to challenge those people in power, decision-makers, to look at things differently, to operate things differently…We are so far behind doon sa targets natin sa biodiversity, targets natin for climate, and also Philippines is No. 1 to be dangerous to environment defenders. Ang layo natin sa ideal place that we should be. Ang laking transformational change na kailangan."
The two fearless environmentalists, Ann and Billie Dumaliang, ended the video with the plea, “followers of Nadine please help us.”
