New Movie Alert! Fans could not contain their excitement as Kathryn Bernardo finally announced her two upcoming movie comeback line-ups this year and in 2024. Four years after her highest grossing Filipino film ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ in 2019, she reunites with Barcelona: A Love Untold director Olivia Lamasan. The yet to be released movie is called ‘Elena 1944’ and is directed by Lamasan. Another project of Kathryn Bernardo was revealed and said to be joined by the Golden Globes 2023 nominee Dolly De Leon; a movie called ‘A Very Good Girl’ directed by Petersen Vargas which is expected this year.

Truth be told, we all got excited and thrilled as soon as we heard the news and some have expressed their sentiments about the upcoming movies.

You know it! Kathryn Bernardo had a special event called New Movie Alert: Kathryn in which she first announced the dark comedy movie with Dolly De Leon; the latter film, ‘Elena 1944’ is stated to be an action, historical drama that is set to be released in 2024 and revolves around the Japanese period whereas Bernardo will play as a comfort woman. The upcoming film will voice out the plight of women and how the role feels empowering for women and Kathryn as it is her first time to take such a new role.

That having been said, whilst fans gush over Kathryn’s announcement, Liza Soberano and Nadine Lustre, both Kathryn’s teen star companions, are set to play a lead role in their own respective films coming this year. Their fans couldn’t keep it in regardless of the two movies not being officially announced yet!

After Nadine’s successful movie ‘Deleter’ last year, she said that she wants to continue the momentum of her success and do more projects in 2023. On the other hand, Liza Soberano’s upcoming Hollywood film ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ is another win for her! This just proves that even without their on-screen partners, they will rock the cinemas and break records on their names!
