Here's a cheat sheet for Disney and Pixar drops



From the past generations up until the present, Disney has impacted our childhood with the worlds they have brought us to and the stories they have told through their magical films. This year, they’re still definitely on a roll with the success of animated films they have released such as Turning Red and Lightyear. As breathtaking as their animated films, Disney’s live-action catalog also knows how to leave a mark to the audiences. If you’ve enjoined their live-action films Maleficent and Beauty and the Beast then you might wanna check out these films. 


Disenchanted (2022)

Ever wondered what comes next with the enchanting love story of Giselle and Phillip? The wait is over as the 2007 tale is finally getting a sequel 15 years later! According to the trailer, Giselle and Phillip are about to start a new life in a new city when things don’t go exactly as Giselle has planned. This causes her to rely her life on a magic wand that grants her wishes, only to suffer with the consequences of her own action. To find out if Giselle actually gets her happily ever after, Disenchanted will be available on Disney Plus on November 24.


Hocus Pocus 2

This sequel was a long-time in the making, but the latest trailer brings back the series trio of witches for more trouble and magic ahead of the movie’s Sept. 30 release date on Disney Plus.


The Little Mermaid (2023)

A few years after it was announced that the 1989 animated classic was getting its live adaptation, Disney gives fans a first look on The Little Mermaid and revealed Halle Bailey’s look as Ariel who teases her rendition to Part of Your World, among of the animated film’s songs which will also be included in the live-action adaptation. The story follows a mermaid named Ariel who due to her curiosity with the life beyond the sea’s shore agrees to a negotiation with a sea witch named Ursula to grant her human legs. The underwater tale will be diving to theaters in May 2023.


Snow White (2024)



Following The Little Mermaid, another Disney princess who will be getting a modern theatrical spin will be Snow White, which will star Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot. Snow White is a 1937 animated fairytale written by the Grimm Brothers and it follows a young girl’s adventure as she meets seven dwarfs in the forest where she gets thrown to by her evil stepmother. While not much details have been uncovered about the film, it’s definitely worth looking forward to how Wonder Woman star, Gal Gadot will go from superhero to bringing life to the character of Snow White’s evil stepmother. 


Peter Pan and Wendy  

Another resurfacing classic is the tale of Wendy, Peter Pan and The Lost Boys. There is still no official trailer for the film. However, the official poster has been released and it features a silhouette of Captain Hook’s ship. A 20-second teaser clip also features the film’s official title card along with clips of London in the perspective of a mystery creature in flight. While retaining its original plot, the film offers a new perspective to the classic tale by highlighting the character of Wendy. The film is set to fly on Disney Plus 2023.


The hype around these newly-announced Disney films proves that you’re never too old or to young for a fairytale. Whether you’re a child at heart wanting to relive your childhood through the silver screen or a kid searching for an adventure through the classics then you definitely don’t wanna miss these films. 


Inside Out 2

After years of being a standalone movie, Inside Out is finally getting a sequel in the form of Inside Out 2! Amy Poehler will return as Joy, with Phyllis Smith again becoming Sadness. Lewis Black is also back as Anger. Sadly, however, Mindy Kaling (Disgust) and Bill Hader (Fear) will not return for Inside Out 2.
