Why other people's decision to bear a child is none of your business

Raising kids requires readiness may it be physically, mentally, emotionally, or most importantly, financially. One must prepare themselves for the changes that come with becoming a parent. It is a 24/7 work every day to be able to give love, time, and attention to one’s child.

Others say, having a child is one of the happiest feelings in the world. From holding your child’s tiny hand to seeing them grow into someone they want to be is every parent’s dream.

When other couples plan for their future, the number of children is included and planned. For some, one child is enough. For others, they want to have more children because “the more, the merrier”.

However, there are instances where people judge couples who are deciding to have more kids. Recently, Iya Villania gave birth to a healthy baby boy. It is her 4th child with Drew Arellano. Drew posted an image of Iya holding their baby, Astro Phoenix. Some netizens commented offensive remarks such as "Sige damihan niyo pa, next year ulit.", "Grabe matres ni Iya walang pahinga." and more. As if it is their business and as if they are involved in raising the couple’s children.

People's decision to bear child is none of your business

The decision to bear a child and to become a parent is always a personal choice. After all, there are a lot of parents who are doing a great job in raising their kids into God-fearing, loving, kind, and good people.

Having a child is a choice but most importantly, it is a RESPONSIBILITY not just to one’s family but to the society. There are people who prefer to have more kids because for them, building a family is one of the most beautiful things in the world.

A couple can have the number of children they want as long as it is rooted in responsible parenting. Moreover, as long as their children will not shoulder the struggles of life (financially and emotionally), they can and they have the choice to have more. Today, we live in a world wherein people always feel the need to comment on things, even those they are not involved in, or even on the things they have little knowledge about, do your thing anyway.
