With Vice President Leni Robredo's term coming to an end and all the hard work she put into her campaign, she spent her much-needed rest attending her daughter, Jillian's graduation from NYU with pride. The Robredo family also keeps their socials active by updating their followers on what they are up to from time to time.
But why do people see this as a form of being 'papansin'? When they are just living their lives as a normal family would. And not to mention, without any constraints.
News anchor, Alex Santos from Net25 reported that the Robredo sisters might be 'kulang sa pansin', that is why they keep posting on their social media accounts. They also made distasteful remarks such as 'pasikat' and 'celebrity wannabes'.
This only proves that Iglesia Ni Cristo is a cult. Ang bababoy nyo NET25! pic.twitter.com/oKgB0DOw0j

They also mentioned how the Robredos' simplicity of living and good image is the opposite of their smear campaign against the Marcoses. The level of unprofessionalism in the field of journalism is far too much with this headline.
Several netizens expressed their disappointment with the report on Twitter:
Net25 joining the troll farm to demonize the Robredos. So much for an INC controlled media outlet. Alex Santos - keep in mind that

“Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”
Matthew 15:11 KJV
How can that be ended up as "news"?

Frankly, we denounce Alex Santos and Net 25 for the way they reported about outgoing VP Leni Robredo and her family on their trip to New York City. Again, please don't interfere with the Robredos' affairs, give them some rest and privacy.
I used to admire Alex Santos when he was still with ABS. Ako pa nga assigned intern na nag-aabot ng scripts at tapes kapag mag-VO na siya sa newsroom. He was kind and very approachable, just like her then TVP Weekend co-anchor Bernadette Sembrano. Fast forward to present, anyare?
