The new feature will allow users to create their own content or watch videos from accounts for a limited time only (just 24 hours of lurking around anyone’s business), which is the same as any other social media apps. The stories can be accessed by swiping left on the home screen or by clicking the user’s avatar.
TikTok Stories will be the platform’s counterattack against rivals Instagram and Facebook Stories, Snapchat, and YouTube Shorts. TikTok is now doing tests for the new feature on users outside the US.
What to Expect With TikTok Stories
So what’s new about TikTok Stories? Well, TikTok Stories will publicize user’s comments on your stories. You can also access how many viewed your content and check if you follow them or not. Here’s a first look of the new feature shared by a Twitter user:

A TikTok representative confirmed the news on The Verge saying, “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience.” The app is also exploring other creative features for the TikTok community.
We guess TikTok has heard of Fleet’s sudden departure last week when Twitter officially shut down their stories feature.
Twitter admitted that Fleets did not reach their expectations as they have not seen any increase in the number of users who used said feature. Twitterverse paid tribute to the short-lived Fleets as users maximized the remaining hours of Fleets by sharing memes, their “kalat” photos, and other content. Fly high, Fleets. You will be missed. Sort of.
TikTok still hasn’t provided any deets on when we can fully access the new feature, so we might have to wait for a while.
Admit it or not, TikTok is the top social media platform right now. We can surely expect that they will be launching new creative features to cater to their millions of users worldwide.
