James Reid brings his goofy, softboi side to the world in the Hello music video and honestly, that is the only thing we've ever wanted.
The fans are in for a treat as the much anticipated video is a visual perfection with nostalgic elements and references to Wes Anderson. The theme is perfectly suited for his funky and synthpop track. And that’s not all, folks. James Reid also channels his tito aura, donning 80’s inspired fits from Louis Vuitton, Lacoste and Carl Jan Cruz. He's even rocking a now-iconic mustache (Freddie Mercury who?!).
The video is a fun experience, a surprisingly different route from his previous dreamy and deep visuals. In one of his interviews, he said, “It's going to be a completely side of me. A really crazy side of me. You're gonna see me wearing very silly things & some terrible dancing.”
James Reid's Hello
Hello is the latest single of James Reid, which is a follow-up to his hit single Soda. It was written by James and Ben Samama. The song was released on streaming platforms last June 18 under James’ own label, Careless Music. His new track is different from mainstream sound and will be a mix of R&B soul and funk.
This music video is a testament of James’ versatile musicality. With Careless Music, James has the creative freedom to experiment on his music. He has evolved from being a heartthrob that everyone adores to being a music superstar in his own right.
