Symone is a winner, baby!
After all the twists and gags this season gave us, we finally made it!! We've finally made it through the finals of Drag Race and crowned a queen with undeniable charisma, uniqueness, nerve & talent!
After a gag-worthy "lip sync for the crown," Arkansas' Ebony Enchantress Symone sashayed as the winner of season 13, and America's next drag superstar.
The Finale
The Ebony Enchantress
Symone already marked her place in the race by taking home two challenge wins at the start of the competition. As the show progressed, she went on to win two more challenges and gave us Black excellence on the runway every damn time— making her the first queen on a regular-season to have won her 4th challenge before the Finale.
The ebony enchantress also had a fair share of lows and self-doubt during the competition that landed her to her lip-sync for her life three times. Though being in the bottom can be nerve-wracking, Symone still served us jaw-dropping lip-sync smackdowns and proved that she a forced to be reckoned with.
Wearing a sparkling yellow fringe dress with streamers emerging from the top of her massive updo, Symone tearfully accepted the crown and scepter from season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall. Calling back to her entrance line on the season, Symone kept her remarks sweet and simple: "I told y'all not to let the smooth taste fool you!"
Season 13 has been a roller coaster ride for all of us, and at this point, we all definitely dezaarb a #Dragrace break, so as we wait for All Stars Season 6, in the meantime, get vaccinated and support your local!
