Wednesday Addams is getting a Netflix series, and here’s our top picks for the role

The Addams Family's peculiar, emo daughter Wednesday Addams will take center stage in the new Netflix Live-Action Series and will be directed by none other than Tim Burton. We can expect a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday's adolescent years as a student in Nevermore Academy.

After this big announcement, we are definitely looking forward to seeing everyone's favorite maiden of the macabre graduate into a full-fledged young lady.

The big question is? WHO IS PERFECT FOR THE ROLE that will take part in the eight-episode series?

As we all know, Wednesday Addams is a pale, dark-haired , grim-looking girl who is fascinated with death and the macabre. Christina Ricci was able to portray the character so well and we need someone who can be at par of how she gave life to Wednesday. Maybe these names can fit the bill!

Anya Taylor- Joy

With her astounding performance in Netflix's "The Queen's Gambit", Anya Taylor Joy is on her way to be one of the most bankable actresses today. With her looks and expressions, she can portray Wednesday Addams in a gothic and sexy way, witty with a terrifically dry sense of humor.

Chloe Moretz

Since Chloe was able to portray the character in the 2019 animated film, she already have a grasp on how to actually play the role with her voice that can suit Wednesday's personality. Black hair can also look good with her!

 Dafne Keen

"Logan" star Dafne Keen was able to portray Wolverine's daughter Laura with no lines at all, and a resting b**ch face that can truly fit as Wednesday Addams.

 Isabela Moner

The American actress and singer who's known for her roles in Dora and Friends: Into The City and Transformers: The Last Night might be perfect for it as well. Though she doesn't actually possess the pale-skin complexion we're looking for, her big, round eyes can fit Wednesday's creepy stare.

 Jenna Ortega

“You” Season 2 star Jenna Ortega has this forbidding yet sadistic and chilly vibe that can actually give chills down to your spine whenever you look at her.

Odeya Rush

Israeli model and actress Odeya Rush's long dark locks and expressive eyes does the trick! The "Let It Snow" star has this dreamy stare that fit Wednesday's you-can't-mess-with-me attitude.

These names are just some that might actually fit the role! But we all have to wait and see as we'll all look forward to updates about who'll play this one-of-a-kind character right for both old fans and new. And with Tim Burton behind this amazing series, we can only expect that he will do justice for the series.
