Let's be honest: A lot of people think that by the age of 20, they have everything figured out. However, life is not a wish-granting factory. Sorry to burst your bubble but that won't happen- well at least not yet. Turning twenty is much bigger than what you expect it to be.

Embrace Change 


Like going through puberty, adulthood also has its transitions that you have to go through. But it is how you deal with this transition that matters. From having your bank account to landing your dream job, and having a new environment around you, there are so many things that will change in your life. But that's the thrill of it all. You just need to embrace these changes. It's the first stage of adulthood.


Think about what you want 


Your early 20s are the most crucial decades in your life. Believe it or not, this decade may make or break your entire life. People on their early 20s are most likely eager to start their career, but that's where the problem begins. A lot of opportunities will knock on your door, and it will be overwhelming. It can lead you to something you'll regret in the end, and we don't want that to happen. As early as now, you should know that your 20's will be full of bad decisions. It might sound scary, but it's the truth. That's why you need to pause and think about what you want. Ask yourself and weight in your thoughts before coming up with a decision.

 Let yourself cry 


Our society taught us that crying is an odd thing to do when you're older. But who made that rule? Figuring out your life is not an easy task, especially when you're broke. And the truth is you'll be broke for the first half of your 20's unless your parents are wealthy. That's why when you're tired and stressed out, don't hold back your tears. It's okay to cry. Just remember that it's not the end of the world Cristine! There's always a new tomorrow for you to start again.


YOLO, Enjoy Yourself 


Some may think that this is utterly selfish, but loving yourself and putting yourself first isn't a bad thing to do. After a long tiring day, fix yourself a bubble bath or read a ton of books that you've always wanted to read. You might be figuring out your life at the moment, but that doesn't mean you can enjoy yourself. We know you have goals to meet but remember that you're only 20 once. Make your twenties life worth remembering when you get older.


 Love can wait 


Don't be in a rush to 'fall in love'. Love can wait. Periodt.
